Southern Majority launched in 2017 with two clients and two important victories.
First-time candidate Jen Jordan placed first in an 8 candidate special election to replace a Republican who resigned from Georgia’s State Senate District 6. Senator Jordan went on to win the runoff election with 63.94% of the vote.
Keisha Lance Bottoms also topped a crowded 12-candidate field. Southern Majority joined Mayor Bottoms in the runoff and helped lift her to a 700-vote victory.
The firm’s early success is based on the experience of Amy Morton and Bryan Long who have worked as a team since 2011 to win tough races in unlikely places.
As a team, Amy and Bryan have unmatched success on progressive policy campaigns and elections.
